How much is Zepbound without insurance?

LillyDirect lists Zepbound self-pay prices of $299 for the 2.5 mg package and $399 for 5 mg. Its higher-strength offer can reduce eligible 7.5–15 mg packages to $449, with a refill-window condition; regular prices are higher for those packages. Confirm the current product and terms: a medication price is not a full telehealth-service total. [1]

Match the quote to the presentation

Zepbound pricing depends on whether the transaction uses the self-pay vial or KwikPen route or another pharmacy and insurance route. Identify the presentation, package and written offer before comparing a quoted amount with an online headline. In the self-pay program, Lilly describes a one-month supply as 28 days with four single-dose vials or one KwikPen. [1]

Do not transfer a price from Zepbound to Mounjaro simply because both products contain tirzepatide. Their branded products, prescribing labels and purchasing programs have distinct terms. Likewise, a compounded tirzepatide subscription is a separate product and service arrangement. Its amount does not tell you what LillyDirect will charge for Zepbound. [1][2]

The higher-strength offer has a timing condition

The Self Pay Journey purchase offer lists $449 for eligible 7.5 mg, 10 mg, 12.5 mg and 15 mg packages. Continuing eligibility depends on completing a refill purchase within 45 days of the previous delivery or receipt. That is a financial eligibility window, not a treatment schedule. Confirm how the pharmacy measures the deadline and what happens if you miss it. [1]

The regular published self-pay amounts are $499 for 7.5 mg and $699 for 10 mg, 12.5 mg or 15 mg. A budget using the purchase offer should therefore keep the regular fallback beside it. Lilly says additional taxes and fees may apply and reserves the right to amend the program. A cash-pay worksheet should not count every future fill at a promotional amount without these conditions. [1]

Keep pharmacy savings separate from clinical charges

A pharmacy savings program helps price a prescribed medication; it does not automatically pay a telehealth company for evaluation or follow-up. Before enrollment, ask the company whether its consultation or membership is a separate bill, and whether it can send an appropriate prescription to the pharmacy route you intend to use. Payment for a visit does not guarantee that a clinician will prescribe. [3][4]

Gentle Health shows the two bills side by side. Its doctor’s care costs $28 a month, and patients buy Zepbound from LillyDirect, which Gentle’s page lists from $299 a month at the starting doses, with higher prices at higher doses. LillyDirect sets and charges the medicine price; Gentle bills only the care fee. [7]

Also ask whether the service automatically renews while a prescription, pharmacy order or refill is pending. Read the provider’s cancellation terms independently of Lilly’s refill offer. A pharmacy order and a clinical membership may have different cancellation processes; ending one should not be assumed to end the other. [4]

The refill-window condition creates two higher-strength price scenarios

For an eligible higher-strength package, three purchases at the $449 offer amount total $1,347. If the pharmacy instead processes three regular $699 packages for a strength with that regular rate, the same purchase count totals $2,097. For the 7.5 mg regular $499 category, three packages total $1,497. These are arithmetic examples from the published price categories, not an assumption about your prescribed strength or refill timing. They show why the offer condition must remain visible alongside the $449 headline. Use the pharmacy’s applicable quote to select the right financial row. [1]

The first higher-strength purchase can receive the offer automatically under the listed terms, while continued eligibility depends on the subsequent refill purchase occurring in the stated window. Ask which prior delivery or receipt date is on the pharmacy record if you need to understand the next price. Do not reinterpret the window as instructions to take medication or to alter care. It is a rule for the discount transaction. If the required date or the pharmacy’s proposed amount is unclear, get an explanation before paying rather than assuming the reduced amount will be restored afterward. [1]

A prescription to a brand is not a presentation-specific quote

Zepbound is presented through different pharmacy arrangements and packaging. The current self-pay information covers eligible vial and KwikPen routes; commercial savings terms can specify their own presentation and coverage categories. That means a price lookup should begin with the full prescription package. A screenshot showing a rate for one product presentation cannot establish the same rate for a different pen product at another pharmacy. The brand name is necessary information, but the presentation and purchasing mechanism complete the financial identification. [1]

The same separation matters when looking at a Medicare-related route. Medicare’s current program identifies specific covered products and presentations, rather than granting every product sharing an ingredient a common purchasing benefit. This cost article focuses on the manufacturer self-pay information, while the Medicare guide explains that separate program. If you are eligible for another payment route, compare its actual terms rather than applying a self-pay price or discount rule to the covered transaction. Program boundaries are more informative than one broad label saying Zepbound is affordable. [5]

Estimate medication and service costs on their own clocks

A self-pay Zepbound supply is defined as 28 days in the offer. A separate telehealth membership can have its own monthly or visit-based billing. Multiplying a package price by twelve does not automatically represent every medication purchase in a calendar year, while a membership payment count may follow a different interval. State the number of packages or the dated period you are calculating. This keeps a price comparison readable without silently assuming that four weeks and a calendar month are interchangeable. [1][4]

Before paying, check the presentation, applicable purchase offer and the separate care-service bill. If ongoing discount eligibility affects the budget, save the offer terms that apply to the transaction. Use the provider directory for reported clinical options and the pharmacy for the exact dispensing quote. A clear drug-price calculation should be retained as such; it should not be relabeled a complete treatment total when another organization’s clinical charges remain outside it. [1][4]
